Discuss a similar projectBelfast Health Development Unit wanted to document projects supported through the 2025 Take 5 Steps to Wellbeing - Your Voice, Your Choice programme. Through participatory budgeting, residents helped choose local projects for funding.
The brief called for individual community stories and a wider film bringing them together. The programme involved Belfast City Council, Belfast Health and Social Care Trust and the Public Health Agency.
SlackPress handled participant coordination, interview development and production planning, followed by location filming with lighting and sound. Interviews with participants and organisers sit alongside footage of each group in action.
Our post-production work brought the stories together through narrative editing, graphics, sound design, colour grading and subtitles. Four individual project films and a longer overview give the programme different ways to share the work.
A further film captures the celebration at Belfast City Hall, where community groups shared their projects and reflected on their experiences. Together, the six films document both the individual stories and the wider campaign.
