The brief

Across ten BBC projects, SlackPress has created educational content that makes complex subjects approachable. Our work combines creative development, scripting, filming, animation and close collaboration with education specialists and BBC editorial teams.

Our contribution

From initial treatments and storyboards to user testing, revisions and final delivery, we shape each production around its audience and learning objectives.

An animated podcast pairing a religious expert with an endlessly curious questioner. Upbeat conversations bring curriculum topics to life and encourage students to keep asking questions.

Technology & Design

BBC Bitesize: Technology & DesignWatch on YouTube

A former student reconnects with his technology teacher to discover what he missed at school. Presenter-led explanations and motion graphics explore design, materials, manufacturing and control systems, with careers interviews linking learning to the workplace.

Scripted, cast and produced in full by SlackPress. The series was also adapted for a GCSE audience.

English with Media Education

BBC Bitesize: Introducing GenreWatch on YouTube

Educational content supporting students’ understanding of English and media. The commission’s curriculum scope included writing, poetry, critical reading, spoken English and media literacy.

In Introducing Genre, the same script is presented in four different genres. The example invites students to explore how creative choices change the way a story is understood.
